The Website

Elizabeth is a custom wedding, engagement, family, and boudoir album designer. I’ve followed her on Instagram and admired her work for a while now, and it was an honor to redesign her website!

Elizabeth had DIY’d her website several years ago. It got the job done for the first couple of years, but she realized she needed something that more accurately reflected her brand and the beauty of her work.

Her vision for her new website was efficient, welcoming, and timeless. I went with a neutral color palette, the colors her clients are often most drawn to. Overlapping elements to mimic a scrapbook and hand-drawn illustrations came together to create a soft, romantic look.

“Mara I absolutely love it! Wow! you are incredible! Thank you! I love everything about it! You are awesome!”

Elizabeth also wanted her new website to help save her some time in her business. She found herself spending a lot of time in her email, answering questions for customers and helping them choose customizations for their albums.

So, we worked together to create an entire page dedicated to walking customers through the process, helping them decide between an album or book, and answering common questions Elizabeth was getting.

Social proof is so important to show off on your website. People purchase from people and brands they trusts, so testimonials are a huge part of a high-converting website. Elizabeth has a TON of testimonials from happy customers, but none of them were featured on her website! So, I grabbed a handful from Instagram to feature on several pages on her site.

Elizabeth told me she gets most of her customers from Instagram, meaning most of her website visitors are on their phones. Because of this, it’s super important to direct them to the right page to find the information they are looking for. Enter: the custom Instagram links page!

Users can visit Elizabeth’s website, quickly contact her for a price list, or go to the FAQ page. If the user is a photographer (she works with a lot of wedding photographers), they can go directly to the page with information just for photographers.

Bonus: Elizabeth’s secondary website goal was to grow her email list for deals and promotions, so I added her newsletter signup form to this page as well!
